O.T stands for Operation Theatre. In order to enroll in the two-year graduate program in Operation Theatre Technicians, candidates must have completed an received at least a 12th grade from a school with an accredited board. The outcomes of the candidate's performance on the subsequent counseling session determine their eligibility for the Diploma in Operation Theatre Technicians.

Students who complete the diploma program are prepared to oversee the operation theater as a whole. The duties of an OT technician include helping the surgeon perform the procedure and managing the nuances of it. Additional responsibilities include setting up the anesthesia, dressing, and operation room tables; sterilizing all the surgical instruments, drapes, and linens; and providing the anesthetic gases and medications needed for the procedure.
